CoKL Councillor Heather Stauble arguably knows more about the ins and outs, especially the political nuances, surrounding industrial wind projects than most people in Ontario including Premier Wynne, the Ministers and the MOE. Ms. Stauble will be updating residents on the status of the Sumac Ridge, Snowy Ridge and Settlers Landing projects which also threaten the Cham Shan mega-project and will also offer informative advice.
The completion of the multi-million dollar Cham Shan retreat has been placed in jeopardy – this a plan twenty years in the making. A visual presentation will be given so as to inform the public on what the Buddhists had planned for this area.

The main temple under construction will be affected by the Stoneboat project. The three satellite locations that were to boast beautiful gardens and places for quiet reflection and mediation will be adversely affected by the Sumac Ridge, Snowy Ridge and Settlers Landing wind energy projects; ironically these three power plant complexes are to be constructed on supposedly government-protected lands, the Oak Ridges Moraine.
